ROC-M Radio

ROC-M Marine VHF Radio Training CourseMarine VHF Radio ROC-M Training Course

The ROC-M, Marine VHF Radio certification is a Canadian Federal Government issued certificate required by law to operate a marine VHF radio 25 miles or less from shore. Every person on the boat who will use the radio is required to have their own card.
This classroom course is a full day with practical simulations using proper radio procedure.

New VHF Radios have DSC (Digital Selective Calling) functionality.  Understanding this functionality and how to use it can greatly enable rescue personnel to assist you in the case of an emergency.
For those that have received their Marine VHF Radio ROC-M prior to the introduction of the DSC technology, we encourage you to update your skills to obtain the DSC authorization.
